Douglas Reeson, M.B.A., is an independent financial consultant with experience as an officer and director of a number of junior public companies. Prior to 1991, he held a number of positions in the investment industry including the Executive Director of Listings for the Toronto Stock Exchange, Vice-President and Director of Davidson Partners, Midland Doherty & Yorkton Securities and, earlier, as an Investment Analyst at Burns-Fry. Mr. Reeson resides in Toronto and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from York University. He was elected to the Board in 2001; became Chairman in 2003 and CEO in 2004.
Robert Suttie, BA, CGA, CA is the Vice President of Marrelli Support Services. He possesses almost 20 years of financial reporting experience, ten of which were in public accounting prior to his tenure with Marrelli Support Services. He specializes in management advisory services, accounting and the financial disclosure needs of the group's public client base. In addition to managing the group's financial-statement and disclosure team, he also serves as Chief Financial Officer for other junior mining companies, leveraging his skills and experience to become integral to these reporting issuers. He was appointed as Gossan's Chief Financial Officer in March 2014.
George Molyviatis is a businessman and an investment advisor. For over a decade, Mr. Molyviatis has been a private investor in several natural resource companies where he also gained experience as a director of public companies. Prior to 1997, he was a Geneva-based investment banker with BNP Paribas and Credit Suisse. More recently he was a co-founder of a Greek investment bank, owner-operator of dry cargo ships and currently owns a large timber processing facility in Georgia. He was elected to Gossan’s Board in September 2012.
Hamid Mumin, Ph.D. is a distinguished geologist and a professor in the Department of Geology at Brandon University. He is acknowledged for his expertise in Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS); gold; and Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG) deposit types. Earlier in his career, he worked as a mine, exploration and research geologist, and project manager in Canada, Africa and South America, and has participated in a number of resource discoveries and developments. He has worked on exploration and development of Gold, VMS, IOCG and a number of other deposit types. He joined Brandon University in 1995 where he teaches Economic Geology. Hamid has published numerous papers and technical reports on economic geology, and is co-editor of “Ore Mineral Atlas”, a bestselling book of the Geological Association of Canada, and is co-editor of “Exploration for Iron Oxide Copper-Gold Deposits: Canada and World Analogues”. Hamid is also a Past-President of Geoscientists Canada. He was appointed to Gossan’s Board on June 26, 2015.
Andrew Thomson is a business executive and mining entrepreneur. He is currently the President of Palimina Corp., a TSX Venture listed company actively exploring for precious and base metals in Mexico. Mr. Thomson was previously the President of Soltoro Ltd., a Mexican-based mineral exploration company, that was acquired by Agnico Eagle Mines in June of 2015. He was elected to the Gossan Board in 2007.
